What I Hate About the Boom

The boom is making North Dakota famous for all the wrong reasons: greed, moral compromise for work, environmental abuse, and corrupt politicians. These are the things which North Dakota had many times avoided because they didn't have anything for the most powerful and the most greedy to exploit. Now what they have is valuable because of oil prices and exploitable because of national corruption. The damage is being done. Dick Cheney will light up hell with flaring of the gas from his crude oil soul.
