Years ago, when oil company representatives first knocked on her door asking for permission to drill, she welcomed them. But in the years since the boom exploded, she’s had second thoughts.

I feel sorry for this lady. Now she knows what her ancestors did to ours. She is experiencing what the people whose homelands she is in have gone through. This is a mini-boom compared to the wholesale theft of our beloved homelands. “Why should we be pushed out? This was our home long before they came here.” Ironic.
